My team has hired Tristan for assignments in the past, and his work is always exceptional. For this assignment, Tristan promptly scheduled a skype call to discuss the details of the shoot and he came to the call with a list of questions. Tristan communicated throughout the full process and turned in the assignment in a timely and organized manner. The footage is beautiful and he filmed beyond expectations. I'd hire him again!

Tristan is a great new addition to AJ+. The communication through the production process was excellent and he executed the video exactly the way it was discussed. All the images are strong and the sound is optimal. We must add that this story in the Colombian Mountains was not a simple one to shoot.

Hana, who left the region as a child, lost her sister and both her parents to disease as they fled the worst-hit areas. Now back in her ancestral home town, Hana once again faces the challenges presented by failed rains and parched farmland.

Since the start of Colombia’s 52 year civil war, more than 800 unidentified bodies have floated down river into Puerto Berrío. These desaparecidos are stored with the name ‘N.N.’, meaning No Name. But rather than letting them be forgotten, people here have taken to ‘adopting’ an N.N., buying it a tomb, giving it a name and caring for it as if it were a member of their family.

Rising sea levels and increasingly powerful tropical storms mean its population will be one of the first to be relocated due to climate change. Jawar’s channel closely followed the story of Muaz as he and his family fled to Europe, only to be caught in one of the deadliest migrant shipwrecks of 2016.
