Ian J. Connors got his start behind the camera in the US Military with the 1st Combat Camera Squadron. As a combat camera person Ian was challenged to produce quality imagery and compelling stories in some of the most austere conditions in some of the worlds hotspots to including; Bosnia, Korea, The Middle East, and New Jersey. The skills and work ethic he learned in the military translated well to being a freelance cinematographer. He left the military and moved to Seattle and started Directing, Producing, and being a cinematographer for multiple award winning documentaries, corporate videos, and music videos. He attended the Newhouse school of Journalism at Syracuse University and the Seattle Film Institute.

Man Zou: Beijing to Shanghai is an independently produced feature-length documentary shot in China in the fall of 2008. Four American friends and their Chinese guide set out on a month long trip to bicycle 1,000 miles of China’s countryside, filming their adventures along the way. Without support vehicles, they were able to capture an intimate and unfiltered look at China.
