I am a Chinese national with an MFA in Photography and BFA in Media Production from Beijing Film Academy. Currently I am teaching short film production at a Nanjing college. My work past and current work has been documentary film, documentary photography and street photography. I can work on small to medium-sized productions on my own and have access to equipment and a team for bigger projects.

This film is a documentary which regard Lian Si Chinese handmade paper as the center of narration. Though the inheritor of Lian Si Chinese handmade paper-- Zhang Shikang’s words, this film introduces what is the Lian Si Chinese handmade paper, why the paper became National Intangible Cultural Heritage and what crisis it faces. At the same time, this film shows the live and the work condition of Zhang Shikang aim to express how the traditional handicraft survive in the modern society, how much effort the craftsman need to make to keep this handicraft live.

With delight and expectation ,for the first time of my life i arrived in the USA ,which is a country both familiar and unfamiliar to me.The theme of the work is ‘ Mirror and Window ’. From my point of view, mirror means exploring inside, as well as observing oneself. And my comprehension of window is that from a window ,we can discover and cognize the world outside. These photos reveal what I have experienced in the New York City during the visit with the reflection of the eyeballs.To some extent, it is objective but also subjective. These things do not only exist individually in the place the belong to, but also have strong associations with the environment where I live. And that is what i have discovered concerning the theme during the visit this time.
