I am an editorial photographer and DP/cinematographer specializing in the fields of portrait photography, feature, and video production storytelling, but my background is a bit contradictory to my creative career. Despite my devotion to visual storytelling for more than a decade, I graduated with a degree in Biological Chemistry with a focus in Neuroscience from Grinnell College. Yes, you read that correctly… a photographer with an analytical mind and a penchant for science and experimentation. After earning my degree, I honed my visual storytelling abilities around the country in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and the Deseret News in Salt Lake City. Since then, I heard the siren song of the Midwest calling me home. I am now currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota freelancing for The New York Times, Reuters, Bloomberg , and various editorial news outlets and global brands. From breaking spot news to in-depth features and every story in between, I am a photographer who delivers skillfully-crafted, compelling imagery across a plethora of subjects with a creative AND analytical mind. I focus on isolating peak moments of emotion, engagement, and access. I'm devoting my career to crafting authentic, engaging stories through both photography and video to uncover truly unique narratives and individuals for editorial, agency, and corporate clients. I am available for immediate contract and freelance work in Minnesota, the Midwest, and projects around the world. Additionally, I am an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, enabling me to craft multi-dimensional stories and perspectives for my creative partners
