I'm a highly organised, motivated and dedicated visual storyteller with experience for companies such as Vice, Rise Films and The Guardian. I most recently worked as a producer for Culture Trip's as part of their in-house production team and winners of Digiday's Video Team of the Year 2020. I can shoot (Sony FS5, Sony A7Sii and similar) and edit (Premiere Pro), both of which I learnt during a documentary masters at UCL. I'm also a First Class sociology and politics graduate from the University of Edinburgh. I have the communication skills, enthusiasm and initiative to be an invaluable asset to any team. I have experience directing, producing, assistant directing and researching. I directed "The Barbers of Bute", a 25-minute factual documentary about the resettlement of Syrian refugees on a Scottish island.

In Leith, Scotland, a group of artists breathe new life into disused pianos to create a wildly creative amphitheatre. I was responsible for all aspects of pre-production, production and post, while also leading creatively on the project. I also shot additional photography.

Enter the world of Nicole Sartirani, an Italian chef living in Berlin who wants to add insects to Berlin's diverse culinary landscape. As producer, I was responsible for securing access to the contributor, setting up all aspects of the shoot in pre-production, managing the production while on location in Berlin, and overseeing post-production.

In Madrid, one family is fighting to save a tradition that dates back to the 19th century. I was the commissioning producer and director of this short factual doc, responsible for remotely briefing the filmmaker and overseeing post-production.
Mounzer, a Syrian barber, is rebuilding his life on the small Scottish Isle of Bute after fleeing the war. While trying to realise his dream of opening a salon on the island, he finds he may have more in common with the islanders than he expected. I directed, shot and edited this 25 minute documentary which premiered to a full house at a cinema in Bute.

Emerging from Bollywood’s shadow, Pakistan’s film industry finds a new home in Karachi and has a transformative impact on Lyari, a district where film is used to transcend its recent history. I was the production coordinator and researcher for this project, setting up the logistical aspects of the shoot as well as finding and securing access to the contributors. I also edit-assisted.
