About Curran

Curran is an award-winning documentary and commercial director originally from Boston, MA (no, he does not have the accent). Currently residing in Seattle, WA, he hopes to use his work to “cultivate a more active and empathetic interest in the people and places around us.” When the cameras are busy charging, you can find Curran jumping out of airplanes, getting his hands dirty in the Pacific Northwest backcountry, or pitching a tent under the stars. A spirit for unique stories and visceral content has brought Curran around the world and back - living in floating fishing villages on the East China Sea, documenting microbiologists traversing underground cave systems in British Columbia, and most recently accompanying the New Zealand women’s soccer team to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Sarah Goble, owner of Sol Yoga in Seattle, came to Wildly with a unique vision of documenting her 200 hour yoga teacher training course. The objective was to capture the many different elements of the course; the physicality, the sociability, the education, the philosophy, and the vulnerability in a way that would allow prospective students to get a feel for what the teacher training program would offer. We wanted to create something unique and authentic that reflected everything we learned about the course. While the visual components were strong off the bat, the creative and ideation phases presented the challenge of not falling into the many oversaturated and recycled tropes and styles of yoga culture on social media.

New Zealand Football approached Wildly to help them create and drive an all-encompassing media and content program in support of the national women’s soccer team, the Football Ferns, along their journey at the largest women’s sporting event in the world, the 2019 FIFA Women’s’ World Cup. Our team had the once in a lifetime pleasure of joining the team in France and supporting them from the sidelines as they played in the biggest games of their lives. Leading up to the tournament, Wildly accompanied the team on their tour in Spain and St. Louis to produce the player and team profiles that would be rolled out in the weeks before the World Cup. Joining the Ferns at the World Cup presented the unique opportunity of collaborating with the team’s Culture & Performance Coach in executing a handful of video shorts on location to be watched by the team on each game days. Wildly also managed the team’s Instagram account for the duration of the tournament, creating a stream of daily posts and stories which more than doubled the team’s social media following.

"Cape Cod - It dies during the offseason.” This phrase uttered by just about everyone who doesn’t live there. Seen as a summer getaway for Bostonians, there is much about Cape Cod that is misperceived. While its population swells in the summer and drops when it snows, there is a booming local presence that remains deeply rooted to the Cape. Home to an active community that makes coastal living br
