My name is Katherine "Kat" Cheairs. I am a documentarian by background, academic and amateur anthropologist. I am interested in documentary as a conversation and my visual and editorial approach reflects that by intersecting the story at the point of connection between the different subjects. I write, research, produce, shoot, direct and edit. The documentary form picked me and I continue to develop my voice and myself through it.
