Rodrigo Séllos is a self-shooting director and editor, founder of Caos e Cinema, a production company based in Rio de Janeiro. Over the last 10 years Séllos worked on feature and short films, directing and editing, TV shows for broadcast channels in Brazil, music videos, webseries and institutional videos. Full bio and videos - rodrigosellos.com In 2020 Rodrigo will release his second feature documentary called "Searching for Macunaíma”, a project in which he worked as director, editor and second unit camera. His latest short documentary “You don't know me" was awarded Best Short Film in Rio Int’l Film Festival, and Jury's Special Mention in the 21st Málaga Film Festival. The film was also part of the official selection of the 37th Vancouver International Film Festival and Bogotá Short Film Festival. As editor, Rodrigo worked on five feature films, including "Street Kids United II - The Girls from Rio" - produced by Stephen Daldry and Mike Downey; "Memórias do Grupo Opinião” - opening movie for the 24th It's All True Film Festival, and the fiction “The Crazy and the Angelical” - released in brazilian theaters. Séllos also directed and edited four music videos, and produced the documentaries exhibited at International Festival del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano (Cuba), China International New Media Short Film Festival and Festival de Cine de Lanzarote, in Spain. In 2015, Séllos directed and shooted the documental webseries “Growing with Down Syndrome” exhibited at UN on International Down Syndrome Day, with over one million views on Movimento Down's Facebook. Rodrigo is currently developing his first fictional feature film called “Macuxi”, which has won Brazilian state funding for its development.
