  • South China Morning Post- Chinese Indians take comfort in Mahjong as Kolkata Chinatown shrinks around them

    • Editorial Photographer / Photojournalist
    • Reporter / Journalist

This photo story is a peek into the heritage of the Chinese diaspora communities in India, which has been living here for the past 230 years. An Old Mahjong Club in the back alleys of Kolkata's oldest chinatown gives the Chinese-Indian community a sense of identity as it grapples with its dwindling numbers and changing cultural landscape.

  • Firstpost- How Rakh-E-Arth resettlement colony for Dal Lake dwellers became a quagmire with no end

    • Editorial Photographer / Photojournalist
    • Reporter / Journalist

The Rak-E-Arth resettlement colony in Kashmir is a poster image of a rehabilitation project gone awry. From compensations packages that do not work, to systemic corruption, the project has become a money-sucking venture with little hope for change. I reported on the plight of the landless at rakh-e-arth as a journalist and photographer for this assignment.

    • Reporter / Journalist

This article is on the Under the Sal tree festival which is a one-of-a-kind indigenous theatre festival that happens annually in the Sal forest of Assam, India which has opened up a new discourse in performance arts in India. I reported on and photographed the festival for the national newspaper- HBL.

  • Hindu Business Line- Pilgrims' Progress
