I'm a New Delhi-based documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and creative supervising producer with 8 years of experience across digital and broadcast media platforms such as Hindustan Times (Digital), WION, NDTV, and Youth Ki Awaaz. I employ my storytelling techniques to create films that shape the viewer’s opinion, creates social awareness, and stir positive action. These digital films showcase how individuals working in the fashion industry - a designer, a karigar, and a trainer are repurposing old, donated cotton sarees into high-quality masks for people to be used as we grapple with the pandemic. Backing us in this effort are women from the suburban communities of Mumbai who lost their means of income due to the Covid-19 outbreak. As they help keep us safe by making the masks, they’re also finding their feet back.
This project was undertaken in partnership with IIT Delhi and Youth Ki Awaaz as part of a video series that focuses on raising mental health awareness amongst adolescents in Delhi NCR.
