Elena is a transgender person and lives in Sarajevo. Awaiting gender reassignment surgery. The transition for her, as well as for other transgender people, was neither easy nor cheap. The worst thing, she says, is that she lost many friends after the decision to change her gender. In month’s edition of TV Justice, which is dedicated to crimes committed in Prijedor, you can hear stories by four survivors of dreadful executions. They ask themselves if one is really lucky if they manage to flee, hide and watch their closest family members die. Nermin Karagic survived abuse and executions. He was only 17 years old at the time. He joined our crew and, for the first time in the last 20+ years he visited locations where some of his family members and friends got killed. The September issue of TV Justice Magazine brings an overview of verdicts for Prijedor crimes pronounced by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia at the Hague and Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina so far.
