Farallón is located 90 kilometers from the capital of Panama. This fishing village was the sector that housed the holiday homes of Omar Torrijos Herrera and Manuel Antonio Noriega. Previously military base of the United States until they began to withdraw from the country after the signing of the Treaty Torrijos-Carter in 1977.
In 1977 General Torrijos as Panama's head of state and the president of the United States of America, Jimmy Carter, sign the Torrijos-Carter Treaties that establish the delivery of the administration of the Panama Canal and the closure of all US military bases in the territory of Panama
Paposo, Chile. 200km from the city of Antofagasta in Chile, at the foot of the mountain range of the coast, is what was one of the last settlements of Changos, Paposo. This fishing village struggles against the arrival of a thermoelectric plant that threatens to destroy marine fauna and with it artisanal fishing with nets, a source of income to support their families.
Panama City, Panama. The housing in the center of Panama City exceeds the prices that the inhabitants of the middle and lower middle classes can access. This makes people migrate to the peripheries of the city. There are only a few neighborhoods that resist the real estate market and the "rescue of the city" of which Mayor José Blandón speaks.
