I am a filmmaker and journalist based in Paris. I have been freelancing since 2011 and gained extensive working experience in several european countries, in the Middle East and in East Africa, mainly as a videojournalist. I shoot with DLSRs and Blackmagic and edit on Avid MC. Fluent in English, German, Italian and French with intermediate knowledge of Arabic.
The global trade of the drug called khat is worth today more than 2bln USD, representing the main source of livelihood in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Hitting the tracks of this relentless drug trade, this feature-length documentary film investigates the roots of the khat boom and its economic and political effects of some of the world's poorest countries.
