Nathan was a true pleasure to work with. He was responsive, communicative, and willing to tackle any task to complete this project on deadline. He even went out of his way to get broll so that we could include timely footage from the 2020 Mardi Gras parades for this piece on King Cake in New Orleans. I definitely recommend working with him for future projects!

This was a challenging project and Nathan did an excellent job collecting enough outstanding material during that production phase that we were able to work through a complex post-production process. He took feedback well and was eager to produce a story that fit our brand and our vision. The final version was exactly what we had in mind.

Wow. Nathan took a very sensitive shoot and covered everything we needed to make a complete, unbiased piece. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Nathan again!

We often see adoption on our social media feeds in the most glowing light — with loving adoptive parents and happy children celebrating their new family. Less often do we focus on the trauma that adoptees experience, nor do we see the difficult journey of adoptive parents. NBCLX contributor Nathan Willis explores how the trauma of adoption is treated.
