I'm a director, editor and cinematographer specializing in short and feature films and an expert television show, documentary and advertisement maker. I graduated from the prestigious Mohamed Amin film school in Nairobi, Kenya after quitting medical school to pursue my dream of becoming a filmmaker. I'm the Co-founder of BlackRhino VR which is among the first virtual reality production companies in East Africa that specializes in cinematic vr and immersive story telling. Safaricom Limited, is a leading mobile network operator in Kenya. It was formed in 1997 as a fully owned subsidiary of Telkom Kenya. They have Invested heavily into paperless money transfer and home automation. They wanted an immersive experience that would show people where they will be going next.
PRC limited was formed with the aim of making it a reality for many Kenyans to own properties. PRC wanted to find a way in which a client would make a site visit to a property without necessarily having to travel hundreds of miles away. This experience revolutionized the property business in Kenya as their clients simply had to wear our vr headsets to be transported into different properties.
Rhino Watch Lodge is a small, exclusive, luxurious family style lodge promoting sustainable tourism. This boutique lodge is located around the Mt Kenya region on the Nyeri/Nyahururu highway. This lodge is surrounded by three wildlife reserves; Solio Reserve, Aberdare National Park and the Ol Pajeta Conservancy. This experience was exhibited at the 2016 Tourism Expo in Kenya.
We were approached by Greenlight Planet to come up with a concept that would showcase the impact of one of their anchor solar products (SunKing) in Kenya. We had less than a week from pre-production all the way to post to zero in on an individual who had a compelling story about how the product has positively affected her life. The final video was exhibited at an event titled 6 million stories.
