About

Tom Zeller Jr. is an American reporter, editor and writer who has spent nearly two decades covering technology, energy policy, poverty and the environment in the U.S. and abroad for a variety of major publications, including The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, The Huffington Post and Bloomberg. As a freelancer he has contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera America and other publications. He is also a contributor on energy topics for Forbes. In 2013, Tom was awarded a Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he spent a year studying the often fractious intersection of science, economics and public policy -- particularly as they relate to climate change and environmental change and environmental conservation. Originally from Ohio, Tom earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Cleveland State University and a masters degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York.
