A Boston-based documentary filmmaker in the process of complete a Master's in Fine Arts at Emerson College. I have worked on feature documentary films, edited corporate videos, and produced multimedia journalism content throughout my career. I am most experienced with editing (Final Cut, Premiere, and AVID), but posses solid shooting skills as well. I have a wealth of experience documenting disability communities (autism, deaf, etc) through my own documentary work. I am interested in the world and people around me and believe that cross cultural communication is the most rewarding experience. “The Unheard” is a short documentary, focusing on two deaf individuals, providing a look into Greensboro’s deaf culture. From daily struggles like ordering food at a restaurant to the larger issue of becoming accepted in the hearing world, they reflect on what it is to be deaf in the United States and around the world.
As part of a new advertising campaign, this video outlines the highlights of studying abroad with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. Students will walk you through study tours, cultural immersion, internships and academics, as well as what makes their experience in Denmark so unique. Crystal Mann began the American Women's Shooters Mentorship to teach women the proper use of firearms as self defense. AWSM is a new and unique organization in North Carolina where much of the firearms education is geared towards men.
