About
I work as an independent filmmaker, director, cinematographer and editor in Karachi, Pakistan. I mostly work with local and international companies, brands and NGOs which cover a wide range of subjects and styles: mini documentaries, short narratives, fashion films and photography, awareness campaigns and corporate videos. I have also won a few awards at festivals like, ARY Film Festival, ZAB Media Fest etc, and a film which I collaborated on was selected and screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2016. I’m available to work from Karachi to Islamabad or worldwide on any kind of video projects that meets my interest and skills. In Search of the Lost Gender (Trailer)
In Search of the Lost Gender, is a short documentary which tells the story of two transgender women Gogi and Reema, residing in Karachi, Pakistan. This mini documentary won Best Documentary Award at ZAB Media Festival (SZABIST) in 2016. I worked as a director, dp and editor in this project.

Khaadi Eid Fashion Film
I was hired by an agency to shoot Khaadi's fashion video for Eid 2020. It is my third project with a fashion clothing brand in past 11 months and most recent work as a director of photography.

In Search of America, Inshallah
This short film is about a Pakistani woman who travels to America to find her husband. It was written and directed by Danish Renzu and was mostly shot in LA. The film bagged many awards around the globe as well as selected for Cannes Film Festival in 2017. Famous Indian singer, Sonu Nigham, was also a part of this project and did the narration. I was hired by the local production manager, Talha Hassan, as an additional director of photography to shoot a scene in Karachi, Pakistan.

Smokeless Tobacco (Short Film)
This is a short film for IRD Pakistan, which is educating the masses regarding the use of Tobacco from an early age that has detrimental effects like oral cancer on a later stage. I worked as an assistant director in this project. Apart from assisting the director, I was also assigned to shoot behind-the-scenes on both shooting days and later to stitch the footage into a BTS video.
