About Emilienne

Emilienne Malfatto is a freelance photojournalist and writer covering conflict, social, environment and women-related issues. She’s been awarded the Albert Londres book prize, the Goncourt to the first novel and the IAFOR documentary photography Grand Prize, among others. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Le Figaro, Le Monde, among others, and exhibited internationally. She studied in France and Colombia and graduated from Sciences Po Paris in 2013. She then worked for the Agence France Presse (AFP) in France and on the Middle East regional desk. In early 2015 she became a freelancer. Emilienne is a member of Women Photograph and Frontline Freelance Register. She is available for assignments.
