Juan Camilo García is a Director from Bogotá, Colombia. He is a graduate of Communication and Visual Media from the University of Navarra in Spain, where he acquired experience as a content creator in the entertainment and media sectors. With formal training in photography, video production, scriptwriting and theatre, he distinguishes himself in the areas of creative development and storytelling. His entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach to filmmaking gives him the proven ability to be a team leader able to successfully coordinate project workflows. Two of his highlight projects include the documentary short films Ombligados en Jurubirá, and Arponero, which were exhibited in Colombian national cinemas and garnered several national and international film festival selections. Both documentaries presented the stories of authentic characters from distant locations in the pacific coast. He is part of the board of directors for Lamuvi Films, a commercial production company with more than 18 years of experience. He is co-founder of Bahía Visual, a video storytelling and content design studio for digital platforms based in Bogotá, Colombia. Bahia Visual effectively combines strong visuals with an engaging narrative and original music. Juan Camilo has directed projects for recognizable clients such as Adidas, Four Season, BCG, Grand Hyatt, Nutresa Group, Enfagrow and fashion startups among others.
