About Romina

I am a multimedia journalist located in Madrid, Spain and Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. As a reporter I am comfortable producing, shooting and editing my own stories. I love storytelling. I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) on 1981. I studied Pedagogy and Journalism and I focused on enriching my passion for non-fictional audiovisual narrative. I have also lived in Torino and London. I started working as a journalist on 2005 for a news program of the Canarian Television and, since then, I have collaborated with several national and international media. I was the responsible for the multimedia area of Terra News site, as an editor and producer of online contents (2010-2013). Currently I am working as Communications Officer in Rise Foundation, a non-profit organisation working to alleviate hardship and empower Syrian refugees in Iraqi Kurdistan. I am also working as a freelance audiovisual journalist.
