I pre-produced and produced a video on a young Ivorian graphic designer, who created an emoji for World Refugee Day. Following the success of the West African and Cuba-Mexico productions, I worked again on the pre-production and production of a special episode, this time in Madagascar and Reunion Island. I was part of the Anzul Consultancy and Multimedia team in this occasion, but my role was same as in the past when I worked as a freelance: I proposed the stories, found the interviewees, arranged the shooting plan; once on location, I filmed the reportages and acted as a translator. A special 43' long episode dedicated to Cuba, for 4 Tech, a weekly TV show of BBC World Service. Along with a colleague, I worked on pre-production and production. I found the stories, contacted the characters and arranged the shooting plan. Once in Cuba, I filmed the reportages on top of acting as translator. Kayvon Steezie is a well known dancer and entertainer in Côte d'Ivoire. He recalls his experience as a Covid-19 patient. The video was commissioned by United Nations - Côte d'Ivoire to raise awareness about the risk of Covid and to help wipe out all the rumours about the fact it does not exist. I was commissioned by the Re~Cycle NGO to produce a short video to participate at the TIMES (UK broadsheet newspaper) Christmas Appeal campaign. The video won the appeal and got a £15,000 award. In terms of my role: after agreeing on which kind of subject and angle to opt for, I went to one of the rural areas where they operate, scouted the story, casted characters, filmed and edited the piece.

Equal Times - Will Ghana stay dark, go coal or go green?

Crippled by a 3 years long energy crisis, Ghana is now taking strategic choices that will define how it secures electricity for the next decades. It seems inclined to opt for coal, the cheapest source of energy available. This choice attracts strong criticism by environmental groups and by Ghanian think tanks who deems it a big gift to the influential coal lobby in the country.

A reportage on the fire at the petrol station that killed over 150 people in Accra. The fire was indirectly caused by the heavy rain that flooded the Ghanian capital in that evening of early June. The incident highlighted the poor maintenance of the (state owned) gas station and the general lack of a urbanist plan to deal with flooding.
