This will condense and create depression which can later turn into deep depression and cyclones. The windspeed is 155-165 kmph gusting up to 180kmph. Indian coast guards are closely monitoring the situation. In May 2020, Amphan, a category 5 storm had wreked havoc in west bengal, osissa and bangladesh. Last time during Amphan there were loss of infrastructures but no lives were lost in Bengal. In the same way this time Administration is prepared well in advance, NDRF team is deployed, civil defence are patrolling. IAF and Navy are on stand by. Ground report on a conflict between Maoist rebels and the Indian government. 400 Maoists had ambushed in Chattisgarh. At least 22 personnel have lost their lives and 31 injured. The storm comes as India and Bangladesh struggle to bring local coronavirus outbreaks under control.In India, by Wednesday morning, more than 430,000 people had been evacuated in the states of Odisha and West Bengal states, according to India's National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF). In West Bengal cyclone shelters can normally house 500,000 people, according to the NDRF, but because of social distancing rules, that number had been reduced by more than half to just 200,000.
