About Eva

After 7 years as a tv journalist for French Medias, I now work as a freelance producer/DP. I am based in South Florida but work a lot in Central and South America. I've done documentaries in many countries like Tchad, Republic of Benin, Morocco, Madagascar, Colombia, alone or as part of a team. I like working on impacting and environmental stories. I also shoot underwater, am a certified diver. Lastly, I produce content for brands and corporate projects.

I really enjoyed working with Eva. She has a passion for wildlife and conservation filmmaking which really motivates her to seek out great shots and be curious while out in the field. She was kind and sensitive towards subjects. Also easygoing and patient while in production. Eva captured some great wildlife footage working under difficult conditions at night in the Florida Everglades. I'd be glad to collaborate with her again.

Panela is beloved in Colombia, where it is a go-to sweetener over the more processed white sugar. It is a type of unrefined sugar where the molasses naturally present in the sugarcane are preserved, unlike refined white sugar. The molasses gives the panela a more complex caramel flavor and makes it richer in minerals and vitamins. But this sweet nectar doesn't come cheap. In Colombia, depending on where it is made, panela can cost up to 17,000 pesos per kilogram. In the US, it can cost 20 times more than white sugar. So, how is wild panela made? And is this what makes it so expensive?
