About
Jenny Schweitzer is a filmmaker and video journalist based in New York City. Her work been featured by the New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, National Geographic, AEON, and numerous other international media outlets. Her short, "The Magic of Chess", received a "Best of Year" nomination at the 2020 Vimeo Awards. Her short films have had their premieres at Hot Docs, DOC NYC, Nantucket, Seattle International Film Festival, and Aspen Shortsfest. She recently completed a 6-part series for Amazon Studios consisting of short companion videos for the Todd Haynes film Wonderstruck. Schweitzer attended the Rhode Island School of Design before transferring and graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
