Barbara Veiga is a Journalist from Rio de Janeiro with a solid background of international work, spanning more than 70 countries throughout Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania. Barbara's journalistic work is linked very clearly with her passion for photography, and more recently with audiovisual media. For a decade, her work has been in partnership with leading global organizations such as Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd, Amazon Watch and Avaaz. As a photographer, she won a National Geographic award for the work "By man, By nature", which was exhibited in the Jardin des Plantes, Paris (2011), and in Cannes during the Film Festival, the same year. Moreover, as a video journalist, her work has achieved new audiences with the publication of relevant papers in renowned broadcasting and media companies such as the BBC, where her photos were published on their website; The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, The Australian and Vanity Fair, where articles have been printed.
