About Kent

Kent Truog is a freelance multimedia producer and photographer whose work focuses on issues of conservation, social justice, and cultural preservation. He was a producer on MTV Exit's human trafficking documentary series, is a regular contributor at the World Wildlife Fund, and has partnered with numerous international NGOs to further their philanthropic mission through creative storytelling. Kent is a strong believer in collaboration and hopes his work draws attention to marginalized populations throughout the world. Some of his past projects have involved telling the stories of young women on the verge of aging out of an orphanage in Honduras, gender empowerment through coffee farming in Kenya, critically endangered dolphins in the Mekong River, and most recently he supported a first response unit as a photographer to document the immediate aftermath of those affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Kent is currently based in Manila, Philippines.
