Raees began his career in adverting as a creative designer, 2D animator, video & photo content editor in 2011. He relocated to Cape Town in 2015 & completed photography film making courses at various institutes and set out to gain as much industry knowledge as possible, working in house for an international marketing company, creating online product & lifestyle videos & photos. Currently based in Johannesburg & working as a freelance editor & cinematographer on TV commercials, music videos, long form brand videos & online video content. Raees has developed a creative style & eye for video & sound. He strives to develop sonic eye catching narratives that reflect and complement the projects he works on. He’s driven by socially-conscious projects which explore the narratives of his surroundings. His enthusiasm and professionalism allows him to extend and maintain his network in the industry
