The legacy of Athangudi tiles dates to the eighteenth century. Expert masons produce India’s colorful Athangudi tiles—known worldwide for their sturdiness and shine. Athangudi tiles are crafted almost entirely by hand, without the help of large-scale machinery. The materials used are sustainable and have special qualities that add to the beauty of the tiles.
