About

I am a dynamic and passionate multimedia journalist and filmmaker. Currently a co-producer and cinematographer working on a feature documentary with a Sundance-winning team in the French Pyrenees, I'm also looking to collaborate with different media outlets and corporate clients to bring great stories to life! I'm a self shooting producer used to booking characters, preparing interviews and carrying a successful shoot on deadline pressure. I combine my reporting skills with my creativity to come up with new ways of telling stories with video, images, illustration, animation and sound. I graduated from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism where I learn in-depth visual storytelling with a specialization in documentary filmmaking. My first short documentary film Holding Fire offers a behind-the-scenes look at the work of a grassroots Muslim activist in South Brooklyn during a time of unprecedented Islamophobia. The film follows the trajectory of rising Yemeni-American activist Somia Elrowmeim, an immigrant woman of color, challenging expectations within her own community to reach higher positions of power. It provides timely insights into activists transitioning to politics, as America is gearing up for the next elections.
