I am a trained female journalist with 21 years’ progressive experience in reporting, editing, media liaison, communications and NGO work. Over the years I worked as a Reporter, Entertainment Editor and Community Affairs Editor for two private media houses in Zimbabwe, The Standard Newspaper and Daily News. I worked with three local NGOs, Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association, ZWLA, Women and AIDS Support Network, Zimbabwe Peace Project, two UN agencies, UNWomen and ILO. Delta Beverages awarded me a shield for journalistic excellence in 2012. National Arts Merit Awards, NAMA recognised my journalistic work in 2012. I was Senior Editor for Ini Newe/Mina Lawe a magazine that focussed on success stories of women in rural communities. Currently I freelance.
