I filmed and edited this video for award-winning voiceover artist Piers Gibbon. The video appeared in Piers' client newsletter, which was his most-viewed newsletter of all time.
As regular viewers will know, animals trapped in netting make up a large number of our rescue callouts, but hedgehogs are not the most common casualties. Simon was called out to rescue a hedgehog that had become trapped in a garden football net. Luckily, the net was easy to remove and the hedgehog was not badly injured. With a word of advice for the relieved family, the hedgehog was released back.

Because of their success in adapting to urban landscapes, it is understandable why jackdaws may go unnoticed. But it is worth looking a little closer. These brainy birds exemplify some of the traits that humans value most: intelligence, ingenuity, and loyalty.
