I have spent the past eight years serving as an independent field and multimedia producer for news networks and international aid organizations. My clients have included BBC, NBC, Discovery, HDNet World Report, Al Jazeera English, Univision, Telemundo, VOXXI.com, Devex.com, Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Catholic Relief Services, and the International Reporting Project. I cover a wide range of general news topics such as terrorism trials, the economy, and tropical storms, but I have specialized in international affairs and development, immigration, U.S. Hispanics, and the environment. My work has taken me across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa. I am very interested in submitting a video and article package about an independence movement that is brewing in Mombasa, Kenya. It is a piece I did with the support of the International Reporting Project this summer.
