Hi, My name is Kolby Skidmore, and I am a wildly creative visual narrator in Wilmington, North Carolina. I've worked for my local NBC and FOX affiliate for the past year, but am going back to school for my masters degree. I have eight years of photography experience, and two in news media. I recently received an honorable mention in the Julia Cameron for photos I took during Hurricane Florence. I work diligently, and am a clear communicator. I also have experience in creating motion graphics.
FORT FISHER, NC (WECT) - Beyond the beautiful beaches of Pleasure Island, and below the surf, sit relics of our nation’s rich history. Three dozen sunken Civil War vessels litter the coastline. One of them is the blockade runner Condor. Sitting 700 yards off the coast of Fort Fisher and 25 feet below the surface, the Condor is considered one of the best preserved Civil War blockade runners
I created motion graphics to add dynamic content to a PKG about taxes.
For about one hour, Chemours' Plant Manager Brian Long led about 10 leaders from Bladen County through the facility's outdoor location where $100 million is being invested in air and water emissions reduction technology. WECT were allowed on the tour, but only under certain circumstances. No video recording was allowed and only still photos were permitted at approved locations.
