About
Julie Sokolow is an award-winning independent filmmaker whose work has appeared at the New York Times, TIME, and Huffington Post. In 2014, her documentary short Street Doctor went viral via BuzzFeed and Upworthy. She is the producer of Healthy Artists, a documentary series highlighting the lives, talents, and struggles of uninsured artists in America. Sokolow is currently directing her first documentary feature, Aspie Seeks Love. The film is executive-produced by Danny Yourd, the producer of the Sundance-winning documentary Blood Brother. It is slated for a 2015 release.
