I'm a journalist based in Rio de Janeiro, where I was born and raised. My work as a reporter has been published by the New Yorker magazine, The Sunday Times, BBC Panorama, The Globe and Mail and ProPublica, as well as Brazil's O Globo and Agência Pública. In 2016-18, I was a fellow at the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism and Columbia Journalism Investigations, in New York, and I continue to work on cross-border investigations about Latin American issues.

This article is an investigation about how racism has not yet shown the same progress as inequality issues in Brazil. I did the research for this article, finding characters and other people of interest, as well as academic papers and other important information on the subject. I also translated interviews, reports and the story itself - which was also made available for Brazilian readers.
The article is about the underground rock movement in Rio’s favelas, which has been attracting more and more young people in the last few years. The article is focused on CDD Rock Baile, an event in the City of God, and a young drummer who was born there.

This article is about a criminal investigation into the illegal sale of 2014 World Cup tickets; it was the newspaper's headline at the time. The article includes information obtained in secret police documents I obtained with sources. I also conducted interviews and provided other relevant information for the article.
This video is about the drama faced by families who have lost relatives to stray bullets in Rio de Janeiro. I found characters, scheduled and conducted sensitive interviews for this story. The reporter who hired me was a freelancer himself.
