After earning degrees in Media Communications and Spanish at North Carolina State University in 2004, I began my career in video production working as an editor and camera operator on a cooking show in Raleigh, NC.In 2005, I moved to Charleston, SC where I began working as an editor and producer for Litton Entertainment (now known as Hearst Media). Over the course of several years, I worked on a variety of nationally televised docu-reality TV series, including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Family Edition, Calling Dr. Pol, The Brady Barr Experience, The Great Doctor Scott, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Hidden Heroes, Exploration with Richard Weise, Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, and Hometeam. In 2011, I founded Palmetto Coast Media and began creating videos for businesses and events all over Charleston. In 2012, we co-created, co-produced, directed, filmed and edited a docu-reality TV series called “Give Me Shelter,” featuring the Charleston-based animal shelter Pet Helpers. The series aired on Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, Hulu and Animal Planet in over 100 countries. In 2019, a promo video we created for Pet Helpers was voted by locals as Best Locally Produced Video in Charleston City Paper. It has been an exciting journey to work with so many incredible clients and partners over these past 12 years!

In the summer of 2012, my partner and I came up with the concept to do a TV series about a local animal shelter. We shot 2 episodes, pitched them to networks, and got several deals signed. "Give Me Shelter" has now aired in 112 countries on Animal Planet, Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Mundo. My credits include director, producer, camera operator, sound operator, editor, and writer.

I edited original episodes of “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” into 11 rebranded episodes called “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Family Edition." I cut content to be FCC friendly for E/I programming, wrote the narration and edited new intros, teasers and credits, researched and added over 20 factoids to each episode, completed factoid sheets, and wrote episodic titles and descriptions.

I was given 100s of hours of raw footage that was shot throughout 2013, 2014 and 2015. I edited this footage down to a 1 hour documentary film. I also added in music and helped produce shoots by writing interview questions and shot lists. I began editing this film in June 2015 and finished in October 2015. It screened in Greensboro, NC and will be submitted to film festivals around the world.
