“I’m buying frozen food and heating it up in the microwave...that’s no way to live...the amount of sodium they put in this stuff, they’re really setting us up to fail”. When Luis applied for SNAP, he was shocked to find he would only receive $15 a month in benefits. This short is a portrait of Luis and the increasingly difficult obstacles he faces when navigating the usage of EBT in Brooklyn.
