I am a political scientist, independent filmmaker and nature photographer, with more than 10 years of experience working on environmental, social, and human rights issues in Colombia. I am partner at Citurna, a production company dedicated to communication for social change, where I have coordinated projects for national and international organizations such as UNESCO, UNDP, the Inter-American Foundation, ONF Andina, Prodeter, Climate Focus, WWF, FESCOL, and the European Union. I have also worked in journalistic projects for Al-Jazeera, ORF-Austria, Gatopardo, Canal Trece and Señal Colombia.
This short film explores the health hazards to which coca leaf farmers are exposed to as they struggle to survive in the Colombian amazon, and the way this reflects a broader failure of global anti-drug policy.
