Awarded Cinematographer / Director / Producer in Documentaries and films in general. From Argentina but based in Mexico City since 23 years ago. Member of the Mexican Society of Cinematographers (AMC) The films in which I have collaborated, both in Cinematography and as Director, have been exhibited in renowned international film festivals, also in film theatres and cultural halls of America, Europe and Australia such as The Lincoln Center in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston, the Reina Sofía Museum of Madrid, the San Martín Cultural Center in Buenos Aires and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. I mainly do feature length documentary and fiction films. I have DP and directed TV and commercial content. The films in which I have worked on have been premiered at internationally renowned film festivals such as Toronto International Film Festival TIFF, Sundance Film Festival, International Film Festival of Marrakech, IDFA, International Festival of Cartagena de Indias FICCI, San Sebastián International Film Festival, SxSW, Down Town Los Angeles IFF, DOCSMX and Morelia International Film Festival FICM, among others. My work as cinematographer has been awarded for the films Palabras Mágicas/Magic Words (2012) by Mercedes Moncada (Mexican Society of Cinematographers Prize at DocsMX IFF), Guerrero (2017) by Ludovic Bonleux (Crystal Screen Award for Best Documentary Cinematography) and Bosque de Niebla/Cloud Forrest (2017) by Mónica Álvarez Franco (Best Cinematography Prize at Down Town Los Angeles International Film Festival). Nominated for the Silver Ariel Award of the Mexican Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences for Best Documentary, in 2014, for El Alcalde, which I have co-directed with Emiliano Altuna; and Nominated for the Silver Ariel Award in 2019 for Best Cinematography for my work in La Camarista/The Cambermaid de Lila Avilés, 2018. I have accumulated experience filming in a wide variety of territories and circumstances in different areas of Argentina, the United States, Cuba, Nicaragua, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala. Every year, fortunately and since 2002, I am invited to share my film experience both in film schools and traditional universities and giving workshops, courses and inside alternative/non-traditional education programs. I have been invited to advise and follow up on film works in development within grant programs in various academic, promotional and development efforts from governmental and private initiatives. Owner of Bambu Audiovisual, a 16 years old independent production company dedicated to the development and production of both documentary and fiction films focused on social relevant interest and narrated from a personal and artistic standpoint.

Since 2006, when former president Felipe Calderón declared a war on drug trafficking and organized crime, there have been an estimated 60,000 narco-related fatalities in Mexico. In 2010 alone, fourteen mayors were executed across the country — a message from los narcos about just who calls the shots. Tucked within this culture of violence, in the northern state of Nuevo León, sits San Pedro Garza García, considered the wealthiest municipality in Latin America — and the safest in all of Mexico. Presiding over this affluent enclave, from 2009 to late last year, was outspoken mayor Mauricio Fernández Garza, a millionaire determined to rid his town of drug trafficking and murder-through whatever means necessary. A Documentary that tells the story of the cloud forest, also known as the bosque mesófilo de montaña, a type of rainforest considered to be one of the most beautiful places in all of Mexico. It is also one that is at the most risk as an ecosystem, which has diminished because of coffee cultivation, cattle grazing and an increase in human population. Production: Bambú Audiovisual / Cadalpiotz / IMCINE 2014: 43 students of Ayotzinapa’s teachers school in Guerrero, Mexico are kidnapped by the police in the city of Iguala. A few weeks later, Juan and his companions from Guerrero Popular Movement (MPG) have taken Tlapa's City Hall to protest the disappearance of 43 students from Ayotzinapa. They oppose having elections held in the state and organize marches and rallies to convince people to form popular councils. Coni, Juan and Mario go their way fighting against impunity and trying to resist the apathy of society in a State that, day after day, becomes more chaotic.

Growing “la milpa” is an act of resistance, a profoundly political one. Maize In Times Of War traces the yearly cycle of four Indigenous maize peasants in different regions of México. This film draws the exceptional process of growing maize, the delicacy of selecting seeds and preparing the land, and the tenacity required throughout the whole process until the harvest arrives.
