Nataliya Rostova is a Russian media scholar and journalist based in America, was a staff writer covering the media life for Republic.ru/ Slon.ru, Novaya Gazeta, Gazeta.ru. She is a creator and author of two online projects on the history of mass media and journalism in years of groundbreaking changes in Russia: The Birth of the Russia Media. Gorbachev Epoch (1985-1991), gorbymedia.com, and The Heyday of the Russian Media. Yeltsin Era (1992-1999), yeltsinmedia.com. Earned MA degree at Philip Merrill School of Journalism in UMD (2023) and School of Journalism at Moscow State University (2000). Was awarded the Knight-Wallace Fellowship (Ann Arbor, MI, 2009), Galina Starovoitova Fellowship on Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (Kennan Institute, Washington DC, 2011-2). Was a visiting scholar at the School of Journalism at the University of California Berkeley (Berkeley, 2015).
