After graduating as an editor from EICTV in Cuba, I have been chasing film projects throughout Latin America and beyond. My work as filmmaker has been screened at renowned festivals such as Berlin, New York, Mar de Plata and Havana, among others. I was recently chosen at the Berlinale Talents 2023. I'm also in charge of image post-production at MAMAHILDA Studio, where we lovingly grade, restore and master your footage to make it shine.
"Ernesto on Earth" is a documentary feature film which portrays, through recent interviews and historical archive material, the life, work and death of the Nicaraguan poet and revolutionary Ernesto Cardenal, in his most human facet. Official selection at Seattle and Philadelphia Latino Film Festival, among others.
"The Psycopath: Chronicles of Unsolved Crimes", which premiered at Sitges Film Festival, tells the story of "The Psychopath", an unidentified serial killer who murdered 19 people in Costa Rica between 1986 and 1996.
Short film shot in Super16 mm which mixes a documentary style and science fiction; this story is a search for the complexities of what it means to grow up in a place like Manzanillo, in the Costa Rica Carribean. It premiered at Locarno 2023.
“La Pasión de Nella Barrantes,” director Nicolás Pacheco's second feature film, explores the setbacks we can face in the search for purpose, as it follows Nella, a woman who, after playing Mary, is convinced has a divine calling. This movie won best Feature Film at CRFIC 2022.
