Hello! I’m Amber Genuske, a video and photo producer and journalist based in Austin, Texas. I co-own Red Riding Hood Productions, a women-run production company creating content for people, brands, and media outlets. Short-form nonfiction video is my jam, though I am a one-stop-shop for video and photo production and love getting my hands dirty in every step of the storytelling process. She's A Lesbian, He's Gay, And Their Marriage Defies All Stereotypes. The story of a marriage that transcends sexuality, gender and disability. The Huffington Post sent me to Wilton, NH to shoot this mini documentary. I shot & edited the piece, co-producing the storyline with a reporter.
Three pro-life organizations now occupy the building in Bryan, Texas, where Planned Parenthood once provided abortions. A combination of budget cuts, bills and strategy led to this symbolic swap that some say reflects a changing climate surrounding women's access to reproductive health services in Texas. I produced this piece top to bottom entirely on my own.
