Alex is an American cinematographer and field producer focused on documentary and adventure filmmaking. He excels in unpredictable settings, and has produced work during civil unrest, inside hurricanes, operating rooms, prisons, wildlife blinds, and remote alpine environments. He is a proficient outdoorsman and has skied first descents in Svalbard, scuba dived fjords in Iceland, mountain biked Western China, and climbed 35 of Colorado's 14,000' peaks. Equal parts journalist and technician, Alex is as comfortable conducting interviews as he is lighting them. He owns and operates Sony and Canon cinema cameras, and is a licensed commercial drone operator. Select clients include: CNN, HBO, Al Jazeera, PBS, Discovery, VICE, Channel 4, Barcroft, Warren Miller Entertainment, and dozens of independent production companies and nonprofits.
