Tess Vonck is a Belgian freelance multimedia journalist and sinologist with three years of experience. She is based in Brussels, but spends equal time in China and Greece. After years of living, working and traveling in China and Taiwan, her beat focusses on China's role in global shifting powers. She covered several Chinese issues for Belgian media (print, online and radio) and follows the impact of globalisation on societies and nature worldwide. Currently she covers the struggle of generation Y against the challenges of a systemic economic global crisis in an ever globalised world. In the run up to the European elections in 2014 until the Greek elections in 2015 she embarked on a European marathon through all member states of the European Union. Project Yout#opia is an investigative multimedia project telling the story of a collapsing and changing Europe through the eyes of its youth.
