Mia Sorensen is a digital storyteller. She started her career working for the Emmy Award winning, Daily Show with Jon Stewart and BAFTA award winning series Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends. After 10 years of working producing and directing commercial work for brands such as Disney, Sony, Kodak, Bacardi and Mercedes she returned to documentary work. She joined the Digital team for Barack Obama’s successful, Webby award winning re-election campaign in 2012. She created some of the highest viewed short form documentaries for the campaign. Most recently, She was part of the Emmy award winning production team of Years of Living Dangerously, a documentary series on climate change for Showtime, docu-series editor on Death Row Stories (Jigsaw/CNN), Weediquette (Vice), and Aspireist (MSNBC) and creating short form documentary on gun violence for Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan.
