Matt Traver is a British-American filmmaker, photographer and creator of content relating to adventure, travel and culture. Experienced as a self-shooting producer/director and editor he has worked on a range of independent documentary short and feature length films and also in collaboration with Hot Aches Productions, Boulder Creek International and a joint commission from BMC TV, Trek + Mountain Magazine and Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports. His filming locations have included the deserts of Uzbekistan, steppes of Kazakhstan/Mongolia, the high mountains of Iran and Tajikistan, the Tuvan taiga forest and rivers of Siberia. As of 2016 his work has screened at 30 international film festivals and events in the UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic, USA, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Australia and to over 45 countries via Wild Spirits TV.

A ski mountaineering team from the UK set out to climb Iran's highest mountain, Mount Damavand (5610 m). The team is lead by Shirin Shabestari, an Iranian women now resident in London. As the team ascend the mountain the film examines the pivotal role mountaineering played in Shirin's upbringing and discover just how much this summit means to her.
