The fashion film was commissioned by a Bangladeshi local fashion brand Solitaire for their Spring-Summer '23 collection. We wanted to portray the essence of the new Dhaka against the backdrop of contemporary Dhaka through their attire. As always, our goal was to incorporate innovative editing methods and rapid camera movement to create a film as stylized as possible. We used the following techniques: 1. Masking 2. Kinetic editing technique 3. Flash-cuts 4. Overlays 5. Grain and Halation
"My Dhaka is more than a place, its buildings, its roads, its people. It is a drama in time, where 15 million dreams collide to create a spectacle like no other. I have fallen in love with Dhaka. I have fallen out of it. The traffic, the pollution, the poverty, the bureaucracy! Yet, my Dhaka is full of life and strikingly beautiful. The ekn কাঁঠাল Kamthala is the world's first shoe ever designed in Bangladesh and made in Europe. This project was commissioned by 27km.de (Germany) to me (Bangladesh) as the ad director. It was an amazing experience for me and the team to become a part of this project.
