Yoray Liberman is a documentary filmmaker, a cinematographer and award winning photojournalist. Yoray directs and films journalistic content for international broadcasting networks such as CNN, Al Jazeera, France24, Canal+ , i24News among others. In late 2009 Yoray moved back to Israel after being based in NYC (1999-2000), Paris (2000-2005) and Istanbul (2005-2009). Throughout these years he covers international stories across the globe for magazines such as TIME, The New York Times, Newsweek, Le Monde, Paris Match, Stern among many others. Yoray’s experience in the field, covering human stories of all kinds, enables him to easily connect with his subjects and quickly develop a confidence relationship which usually improves the assignment result. In addition to his journalistic work, Yoray teaches and gives lectures in photography, journalistic and creative institutes in Israel.

At the end of last month - three weeks after the latest conflict with militants in Gaza started - Israel called up another 16,000 reservists. Some Israelis risked jail rather than joining Operation Protective Edge. But others, who don't legally have to be a part of the IDF, such as Christians, signed up as volunteers.
