I am a producer with Contrast VR, Al Jazeera's new immersive media studio. Currently based in Doha, Qatar, I am originally from Lithuania where I worked at Lithuanian National Television for several years. My background is mostly in visual storytelling and documentary filmmaking. I received a master’s degree from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism in December 2014, where I was sent on a Fulbright scholarship. In the US, I also worked for Al Jazeera's investigative and current affairs documentary film program "Fault Lines" and social media-based talk show "The Stream" in Washington, DC.
The package covers the issue of reintroduced border checks between Germany and Austria due to the refugee influx. It was aired during the current affairs program "The Week" on Lithuanian National Television, October 4th, 2015.
“Invisible Her" details an "emotional roller coaster" of three American women whose war veteran husbands suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Pamela from Ohio, Taryn from Tennessee and Elizabeth from Maryland reveal the story shared by hundreds of thousands of women in the US. Unheard and unseen, they endure emotional and even physical abuse. In many cases they fight for their spouse
It is a short video piece about the 'Spook Light', a mysterious visual phenomenon experienced by witnesses in a small area around E50 road on the border between southwest Missouri and northeast Oklahoma, southwest of the small town of Seneca, Missouri, USA. Scientists and Army Corps of Engineers have explored the accounts. No explanations have been uncovered.
This video is about one 'SOS' family and three kids turning adults. They tell us how their lives have been impacted by the SOS Children's Village in Costa Rica. SOS International is a global non-profit organization caring for orphans and abandoned children around the world.
